Akira S. Miller was born on August 7th, 1987, in Gainesville, FL to Linda King-James and William Miller. She was also raised by her stepfather, Randolph James. Akira was educated in the Alachua County School System. She was known for her contagious laugh that lit up a room. She was the family prankster who enjoyed seeing others laugh. She loved to dance and sing. She had a passion for tennis shoes.
On Saturday, February 25th 2023, Akira accepted the Master’s call and entered eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmothers, Ada Mae Thurston and Esther Mae King, both of Gainesville, FL.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son, Eric Ricks of Gainesville, FL; mother, Linda King James (Randolph) of Gainesville, FL; father, William Miller of Daytona, FL; sister, D’licia Davenport (Max) of Gainesville, FL; brothers, Jaret King of Gainesville, FL, William L. Miller and Randall L Miller, both of Youngstown, Ohio, and Rashad William Riggins; her darling granddaughter, whom she loved. Kenzi Fields; a goddaughter, Wynter Sutton, whom she adored; loving aunts, Idella King, Shirley King Walker of Hawthorne, FL, Ann Mckelvin and Patricia Wright all of Gainesville, FL; a special friend, Larry Sheppard.; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and sorrowing friends.
