Anna Marie Martin, 81, passed away on August 26, 2023, in Alachua, FL.

Anna Marie Martin was born in Portage, PA to Albert and Mary Petok on February 21, 1942. She attended high school at Lady of Mercy High School and graduated in 1959. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for General Motors, Pharma Tec, RTI, LifeSouth, and various other corporations. She was involved in the Lions Club, Secretary of St. Madeline’s Church, and A Woman’s Answer. She enjoyed bellying dancing, sewing, cooking, rum and cokes, and playing cards. She was the best wife, mom, and friend, ever.

Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by: her mother, Mary Petok, and father, Albert Petok; brothers, Stephen Petok and Brian Petok; sister, Christine Petok; son, Kevin Martin; and niece, Kim Martin.   

Anna Marie Martin is survived by: her husband, Bernard Anthony Martin of Alachua, FL; daughters, Lee Ann Martin of Alachua, FL and Gail Ann Burton of Gainesville, FL; son, Christopher Martin of Gainesville, FL;  son-in-law, Scott Burton of Gainesville, FL; brother, David Petok of Michigan; grandaughters, Brooke Martin  and Lillian Burton of Gainesville, FL; grandsons, Zachary Martin stationed in Washington State and Lucas Burton of Gainesville, FL; great-grandson, Jace Martin of Washington State; niece, Lynan Lundy of Wyoming; and nephew, Mark Martin of Michigan.
