Anthony Turbyfield Obituary

Anthony Scott Turbyfield, affectionately known as “Turby” or “Amp” by many, was a funny, light-hearted, genuine, and selfless family man. Not to mention, he was a die-hard Seminole fan who loved the game of football. Above all else, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son, and brother.

As a husband, he was absolutely amazing and the love of Rachel’s life. Anthony was her rock and her ‘calm’. He was gentle, sweet, patient, and always ready to make her laugh. He always made her feel loved and safe. Anthony was truly her best friend. He was also always willing to go on her endless adventures, sometimes nervously, but he usually had a great time. For example, he was stressed during their plane ride to Jamaica for their honeymoon, but ended up falling in love with the culture, their rum, and adopted a Jamaican accent upon his return home. Yah Mon!

As Cameron’s father, he was incredible. He was made for fatherhood and was so proud and excited to be a new dad. He loved everything about Cameron and was always so proud of him. He couldn’t wait to take him golfing, fishing, and to turn his man-cave into a gaming room with two gaming computers for them to play Minecraft together. He was the kind of father who woke up in the middle of the night to make bottles and change diapers, as well as sacrifice his time at work to pick up Cameron when he was sick. He was always protective of Cameron and his family.

Anthony was the oldest son of Roderick and Deborah Thompson. He was kind, caring, and thoughtful. He was always checking in to make sure everyone was happy and felt supported. He was dependable and always did what he could to be there for his parents and grandparents.

As a brother, Anthony was compassionate, supportive, understanding, and generous. He was always there to offer a warm embrace and words of encouragement. He was the best big brother that Robbie and Marcus could ask for. He was always there during good and bad times and demonstrated the strength to lift them up when they needed him. They did everything together.

Anthony was a warm soul who found happiness and fulfillment in the simplest things of life.
