With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we share the passing of Antoine Emmanuel Edwards, affectionately known by many names—“Manuel,” “Skin,” “Dap”, “Twon”—each a testament to how deeply he was loved by so many whose lives he touched.
Antoine was a man of vibrant passion, joy, and generosity. A lifelong marathon runner, he was a dedicated supporter of charitable causes, especially the Susan G. Komen Foundation and March of Dimes. Whether pounding the pavement for a cause or encouraging others to move forward in life, Antoine ran his race with strength and purpose.
A self-published author and gifted writer, Antoine was also known for his tireless work ethic and creative spirit. He took pride in keeping a beautiful yard, enjoyed biking under the Florida sun, and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His laugh was unmistakable, and his presence uplifting.
Antoine's generosity knew no bounds—he often carried stacks of dollar bills in his pocket, ready to share with the unhoused, giving freely and quietly without fanfare, just love.
He is lovingly survived by his sister Estella Jones, brother Alex Jones, and nieces Alexandra Jones and Ciara Ramirez-Parra. He also leaves behind his life partner Betty Jean Davis, daughter-in-Christ Sheena Lewis, brother-in-Christ Andree Thomas Sr., and grandkids-in-Christ Alaysha, T.J., Jayden, and little Andree Jr.
Antoine also leaves behind dear friends from Pet Supermarket and UPS, who were more than colleagues—they were like family, and a meaningful part of his everyday life.
Antoine lived a life filled with purpose, compassion, and faith. His light will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
