Mr. Arthur Louis Lane, Sr., born on April 27, 1944, in Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.
Arthur Louis Lane, Sr., was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent many years as a truck driver before retiring as an auto mechanic. He had a natural talent for working on cars and truly enjoyed fixing things with his hands. When he wasn't under the hood of a vehicle, he could often be found enjoying simple pleasures-playing dominoes, checkers, or spades with family and friends. And anyone who knew him well knew he always enjoyed his Pepsi!
Arthur was also known for his generous heart. He never hesitated to open his home to those in need, offering help, support, and kindness whenever he could. His willingness to help others left a lasting impact on many people throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Veronica Telfair-Lane; son, Robin K. Lane; sisters, Ernestine Lane Brown, Diane Parker McClendon, Vilena "Joann" Means, and Delores Means; and brothers, James Edward Lane, Henry Means Jr, and Charles Lane.
Arthur leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish his memory. He is survived by his sons, Arthur Louis Lane, Jr. (Shanique), Detrick Lane (Chaylah), and Anthony Lane; and daughters, Nicole Lane, Terri Lane, Tracy Lane, Shontel Lane, and Kristina Lane. His two sisters, Brenda Means Phillip and Patricia Means Wiggins; and one brother, Wayne Means.
He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren along with a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Arthur Louis Lane's life was a testament to hard work, generosity, and love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
