Bennie Leroy Cook was born on March 22, 1948, in Santa Fe, FL to the late Dec Lee Cook and Maude Hampton Cook.
Affiliation: death leaves heartache no one can heal, love leaves memory no can steal.
Brother Bennie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early at St. Mary Missionary Baptist church under the pastorage of the late Reverend C.L. Dennison. The church later merged with New St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where he became a member under the pastorage of Reverend Daniel McNish. Brother Bennie served on the Usher Board and really enjoyed serving until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Annie L. Johnson, Edward L. Cook, Jonathan “Bobby” Cook, and Philomel Cook.
His memory will continue to live in the hearts of: his two sons, Andrae Howard (Michelle), Lenny Cook, both of Gainesville, FL; one daughter, Schrell Dees of Detroit, MI; three sisters, Villa J. Clark, Glenda G. Peoples, both of Gainesville, FL, Cheryl V. Brown of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
