Bernese Cobb was born on July 20, 1932, to David Cobb Sr. and Willie Mae Cobb in Greenville, Florida. Bernese was the 3rd sibling of 15 children of David and Willie Mae.
Bernese known as Bob or “Big Bob” moved to Detroit, MI in 1957 where he met and married his wife of 49 years, Betty Goodman in 1974.
Bernese accepted Christ at a very early age. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bernese known as Bob or “Big Bob” was a loving father to his children and a devoted grandfather, great- grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was preceded in death by his: two children Melonie and LaDawn Martin; siblings, Gladys, Clarence, David, Inez, Eugene, Eugene Lewis and Alfreda.
Bernese leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Betty Cobb; children, Bernese B. Cobb Jr., Dorothy Henderson, Maurice Goodman, Darrien Goodman, and LaTisha Tippett; siblings,be Anne Johnson, Kathy Cobb, Joyce Sirois, Gloria Wilson, and Howard Cobb; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
