Cheryl George Stephens was born on October 12, 1956, in Gainesville at Shands Hospital to the late Millie Hadley and Shelton Robinson. She attended school at Lincoln High and dedicated her career as a caregiver at ARC and other private group homes. Cheryl was a vibrant soul with a passion for playing cards, enjoying the casino, shopping, and exploring flea markets. Her infectious humor, lovable nature, and kind heart left a lasting impact on those around her. Also, Cheryl had a heart to give and loved to help anyone in need.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Millie Hadley;father, Shelton Robinson; and brothers, Walter Ellis and Major Robinson.
On December 13, 2023, Cheryl departed this life. Her legacy will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will continue to warm the hearts of those
who loved her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of: her son, Theodore Stephens (Carla); daughters, Felicia Holmes and Christina Holmes; six grandchildren, Theonna Stephens, Samyra Hamilton, Jasmine Stephens, Theodore Stephens Jr, Dominique Larry, and Sunshine Stephens and three great grandchildren; brothers, Zed Ellis, Geary Robinson(Judy) of North Carolina, Shelton Robinson III of Georgia, Corey Robinson (Favour) of North Carolina; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Eula Clark, Celia George-Bryant (Edwin) of Gainesville, Nellie Watts of Tampa, Angela Wooten (Randolph) of Hull, Georgia, Cynthia Bell (Johnny) of Miami, Florida, Sharlette Dinguall of Cocoa Beach; three uncles and one aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
