Mrs. Clara Mae Green was born on June 17, 1954, to the late L.A. and Bertha Nelson in Nashville, Georgia. She attended Berrien County schools and worked as a seamstress at Nashville Textile. On March 3, 1971, Clara married Mr. Curtis Green. She joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of Reverend C.H. Parker. She was a faithful member and served as a custodian until her health failed. She was also a dedicated member of the Nashville Community Choir. She loved baseball and basketball and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Hawks. At the age of 68, Mrs. Green passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 25, 2023, in Gainesville, Florida, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.A. and Bertha Nelson, and her brother, E.L. Nelson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Curtis Green; four children, Katherine (Charles) Lockhart of Douglas, GA, Angela Green of Nashville, GA, Joyce (Matt) Krall of Sioux Falls, SD, and Steven (Tammy) Green of Hahira, GA; bonus son, Dexter (Kimberly) Williams of Valdosta, GA; three sisters, Bertha (Thomas) Kleinclaus of St. Petersburg, FL, and Pearlene Daniels and Alice Poole, both of Nashville, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Henry) Whigham of Augusta, GA, and Sheree Rockmore of Nashville, GA; seven grandchildren, Halley Green, Gabrielle Green, Ja’Niyah Green, Ian Krall, Owen Krall, Logan (Destiny) Lankford, and Haley (Quinn) Russell; one great-grand daughter, Nimuë Russell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Clara had a special group of friends whom she loved dearly: Mrs. Joann Jackson, Mrs. Marjorie Durr, Mr. Larry Burton, Mrs. Doreatha Burton, Mrs. Jewell Harris, Mrs. Tereatha Lucas, Mrs. Jerri Bradford, Mrs. Carolyn Bailey, Mrs. Sue Luke, Ms. Wanda Musselwhite, Mr. Bobby Everett, Mr. Hollie Bass, Mrs. Helen (Lonnie) Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Zarayna (Keith) Jackson
