It is with the heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colton Jeffery Thomas. Born in Gainesville, FL, Colton passed peacefully of natural causes at his home.

He is survived by his grandmother, Teri Cookie Hawthorne, two Aunts Cara and Elli Hawthorne, four Uncles Ross, Micah, Shane, and Austin Hawthorne and their families, as well as his mother, Shannon Hawthorne Blesar, and father, Keith Allen Thomas.

Colton graduated from Buchholz High School in 2013. He participated in Drama Club, studied Music Theory, and was a talented Self-Taught guitar, keyboard, and drums musician. He was very creative and passionate about music, art, and pottery, and he loved to share his creative knowledge and talents to educate children. Colton was a passionate and caring artist who will be greatly missed by his family and musicians, band families and friends. We know he will Jam again and we will hear his drums from the clouds!
