Donnell “Chicken Man” Chess

Donnell, a native of Gainesville, Florida and son of Clyde  Tomas, Sr., and Terry Chess was born on August 24, 1981. He attended public schools in Alachua County. He lived his life to the fullest and loved his family and friends.

Donnell was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Zeddie Chess and Elizabeth Hudson, and uncle, Keith Jackson.
 

In God’s perfect timing, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, Donnell’s journey on earth was fulfilled.
 

Donnell leaves to cherish his precious memories: his parents, Clyde Thomas, Sr., and Terry Chess; children, Dasia, Donnell Jr., Donnell Sweet Pea, and Donneiya Chess; one grandchild, Jelani King; siblings, Reggie Thomas (Kissie), Thomas Clyde, Jr. (Justine), Vaneque Thomas Miller, and Ti any Price, all of Gainesville, FL; beloved friend and companion, Beverly Marshall; grandfather, Reginald Chess; aunts, Brenda Lee, Rosetta Jones, and Carolyn  Thomas; uncles, Micheal  Thomas, Wallace Lee, Gary Chess, JC McCoy, and Clarence Williams; cousins, Tajakica, Torrance, Tynetta, Sharissa, Cynella, Jessica, Valeria, Kira, Wallace, Terry, Teddy, Jessie, Craig, Clint, Wayne, and Clarence; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
