Dr. Thomas Joseph Patrick Callahan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Joseph Patrick Callahan III on November 3, 2022 at the age of 78. Tom was the faithful husband of Ann, devoted father of his three children, Mai-Vi, Mary and Tommy and the loving grandfather to his 4 grandchildren. Tom lived a life full of adventure, honorable service to his country and above all his devotion to God through his Catholic faith. He graduated top of his class from the University of Georgia Veterinary School. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army as a veterinary medical officer. He finished his working career as an exotic animal expert for the U.S.D.A. Tom imparted on his work ethic, life lessons, love of family and the Catholic faith to all those who knew him. He loved dessert before dinner and never turned down a chocolate chip cookie or ice cream. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.
