Obituary

Eddie Bernard Duggan was born on August 30, 1960, to the late Eddie and SeeWillar Duggan in Starke, FL. He touched the lives of so many, but God touched him on Sunday, May 14, 2023, saying, “That’s enough, you did it,” and he slept. Bernard earned his education in the Putnam County school system. After graduating high school, he worked for the Florida Department of Corrections and then went on to pursue his love/passion of driving trucks until the day the Lord called him home.

  
At an early age, he became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Melrose, Florida.

  
In addition to his parents, Eddie and SeeWillar Duggan, Bernard was preceded in death by his nephew, Ramsey Alphonso Duggan, and beautiful and loving niece, Zenika-Shakeila Bernae Duggan (Donley). 
 

Bernard leaves to cherish his everlasting memories: his special friend, loving and devoted wife, Lafretta Duggan of Sandersville, GA (formerly of Keystone Heights, FL); three daughters, Bri’Asia Duggan, Kaitlin Brown, and Skylar Brown; four sons, Eddie Duggan III, Renauldo “Ray” (Pamela) Duggan, Austin (Alia) Hogg-Duggan, and Russell (Yolande) Davis; grandchildren, Tamarion McIntosh-Duggan, Monteria Reed, Russell Davis II, Zuri Davis, Zurquai Davis, Camren Davis, and Pele Davis; godson, Kaidan White; brothers, Alphonso (Altamese) Duggan, Michael (Julie) Duggan, Michael (Riana) Duggan, and Robert Green (and children); godbrother, Terrence Hayes; sisters, Angela Hicks, Tonya “Renee” Duggan, Felicia “Lisa” Duggan, and LaWanda Duggan; godsister, Eddie Mae Flemings; grandmother-in-law, Martha Chase; mother-in-law, Gail (Steven) Soulsby; father-in-law, Leland (Glenda) Hogg, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Max (Tina) Hogg, Christopher Hogg, Justin Hogg, and Shawn (Jessica) Soulsby; nieces, Quintina “Monique”, Terrenika “Shawnice”, Alexis (Aquillius Sr.), Chintara “Tara,” Chintera “Tera,” Alana, Ramzay, Rhiana, Amiyah, Destini, Lamiria, Aquillia, Cheyenne, Daranae, Kyliah, Ke’oir, Aria, Avah, Demar, and Jessica “Boosie;” nephews, Quincy (LaShawnda), Sir Michael, Cedric II “Deuce,” Clyndric “Champ,” Rasham Sr., Darius “Lil D” Jr., Jabari, Darien, Dillon, Mykel, Braylon, Aquillius Jr., Za’ire, Tony, Tajae, Chandler, Mykel, Breylon, Landon, Coby, Resham Jr., Zion, and Jasiah; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.
