Obituary
Harold Orus Dilley, 86, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2023. Born in Jonesboro, Indiana on December 10, 1936, he called many places home during his life, including Indiana, Arkansas and Florida. He married the love of his life, Nellie (Jenny) Dilley, on December 31, 1979.
Harold was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran who faithfully served this great country for 4 years just after the Korean War, 1953-1957. After spending most of his time as a U.S. Marine in the Artillery Battalion, Okinawa, Japan, he left the Marine Corps and used his GI Bill to go to college, earning his license to become a Certified Public Accountant. A well-respected and successful businessman in both Florida and Arkansas, he owned and operated Dilley Accounting and Tax Service for over 25years before retiring in Keystone Heights, Florida to be close to family.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nellie (Jenny) Dilley, daughter Suzette Schrier of Marion, IN, daughter Carla Sharman (Brian) Severna Park, MD, son Richard F. Morris, III (Nikki) of Ocklawaha, FL, daughter Elizabeth Marsee of Marion, IN, son James Wayne Morris (Christy) of Keystone Heights, FL, and daughter Susan Devereaux (Eric) of Cheyenne, WY. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Jon David Dilley.
A celebration of life will be held for his family and close friends on May 27, 2023. Condolences may be left at Phillipsonsfd.com.
