Joanne Theresa Deragon

Joanne T. Deragon, 70, passed away in Gainesville, FL on July 18, 2024 with family by her side.

She was born on July 15, 1954 in Springfield, MA to the late Donald and Florence (Routhier) Bergeron.

She lived in Springfield, MA for most of her life, then in New York, Virginia, and Florida to be with her children and grandchildren. 

Joanne liked reading, oil painting, puzzles, board games, computer games, and taking liberties with her diabetic diet.

Most of all, Joanne had a big heart. When you needed someone to talk to, she was always there, and she doted on her grandchildren endlessly. For many, she was their kind ear, their go-to person. She loved deeply, and she was deeply loved. 

She is survived by her children, Rejean Deragon, Brian Deragon, and Leanne Kinde; eight treasured grandchildren, Rejean Jr., Krista, Julianna, Jacoby, Hannah, Brian Jr., Gabriel, and Dylan; her siblings, Wayne, David, Sandra, and Judith; and dozens of beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Douglas, Donald, Carol, Dona, Patricia, and Chris.

There will be a local memorial service Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 PM at Victory Church of Gainesville, 4251 SW 13th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
