John R. Thomas

John R. Thomas of Gainesville, FL was born on August 25, 1959. He grew up in Lake Butler, FL. His siblings are Brenda Hannah and Terry Jo Thomas.  He was a very proud veteran. He had a professional telescope and loved to star gaze. His conversations were always deep; you had to have some wit to keep up.

John passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in his home of natural causes at the age of 63. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents Harry Thomas and Rhenda Smith Thomas; and son, Jacob Knight.

He is survived by: Dawn Cone, even though they were not married, she was the love of his life; daughters, Orean Dorminey, Storm Elliott, and Shelby Cone; son Jordan Hinson; grandchildren, Zachary, Brooke, Beau, Alex, Addison, AJ, Damon, Makyla, and Raliegh.
