Judy G. Johnson-Willis was born on February 11, 1953, in Gainesville, Florida, to the late Hiram Johnson and Evelyn Brown Seabrook. Judy attended elementary through high school in the Alachua County Public School System. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1970. She earned her certificate in childcare in 2003.
Judy was employed by Gainesville Job Corps in 1979, until her retirement. She was a partner of Showers of Blessings Harvest Center since 2010, under the leadership of Apostle Willie L. King, Jr., and Dr. Linda A. King. Judy was the matriarch of her family after the passing of her mother. She cared for and was devoted to each family member as they needed her. She was also compassionate towards friends and anyone in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wilburt Brown; grandson, Eric Young, Jr. and a special nephew, Keith L. Johnson.
Judy will be cherished and remembered by: her daughters, Pastor Rosalyn Washington (Pastor Carlos) of Atlanta and Cherrise Young (Eric) of Gainesville, Florida; children she reared, Latasha Lee of Pensacola, Florida, Timothy Daniel Lee of New York, and Irafimy “Nikki” Lee of Gainesville, Florida; siblings, Leary Johnson of Gainesville, Florida, Earl Johnson (Dorothea) of Gainesville, Florida, Kathy White of Massachusetts, Gail Viallarrial, Louis Lee, Genora Dennis of Gainesville, Florida, Michael Johnson of Virigina; grandchildren, Avionce Washington (David) of Gainesville, Florida, Santonia Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Kiara Washington, Victoria Washington, Carlos Washington, Jr., Ch’Keria McBride, Errel James, Samiah Cobb, Kamilah Cobb of Gainesville, Florida; eight great-grandchildren,
Joshua Smith, Savannah Johnson, Zion Smith, Rich Fleming, Kori Burce, Nova Washington, Emerson Washington, Ziaire Williams; and a host of family friends who loved her.
