Kenneth Malcolm Zipperer, 90, of Melrose, FL passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1935, in Clearwater, FL and grew up in Live Oak, FL.
Through his life, Ken was by turns a sailor in the Navy, a musician, an insurance agent, and even a small business owner. But no role was more important to him than that of Dad, Daddy, Papa, Grandpa, and Great-grandpa. He was proud of his family, and believed that the true measure of a man’s wealth was in having such a wonderful wife and family. His children and grandchildren will always remember the encouraging touch of his hand on their shoulder. His great-grandchildren will grow up learning the legacy he left behind.
Ken is preceded in death by his father Alonzo Zipperer, mother Irene Cook Zipperer, sister Merle Nipper, and daughter Stephanie Stowers. Ken is survived by his devoted wife Martha Zipperer; three children Tammy (Lee) Wolfe, Caroline (Bruce) Hallett, and Chris Zipperer; son-in-law Bryan Stowers; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sixth great-grandchild due in 2026.
