Leroy James

ELDER LEROY JAMES was born to the late Valley and Esther Bell James on October 31, 1942. He was reared by his parents in the Madison community and matriculated through the public school system. Elder Leroy James was converted at an early age and served in ministry for over 35 years.

Leroy James attended Madison County Training School. He received his high school diploma in 2010 from Cornerstone Christian Correspondence School. Elder Leroy James was married to the late Maggie Mae Morgan James for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Floyd James of Miami, FL, and Edgar James of Adel, GA; and three sisters, Bessie Lee James of Madison, FL, Eddie Mae Hall of Madison, FL, and Inez Robinson of Miami, FL.

Leroy accepted the Master's heavenly call and entered his eternal rest on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving son, Darrell James; four grandchildren, Ke'Darrion James, JamariJames, Amil James, and Adonis James; one brother, JD James (Gwendolyn) of Greenville, FL; two sisters, Gertrude Kaiser (James) of Adel, GA, and Mildred James Arnold of Adel, GA; in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
