Marie D. Coles, 83, of Gainesville, FL, peacefully passed away in her sleep on November 18, 2025 and went home to be with the Lord. She was born on July 15, 1942, in Monroe, Michigan, to Emma and John DeNardo, and spent the majority of her life in Gainesville.
Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Murariu Servi; her father, John Dale DeNardo; her husband, Arthur Tipton Coles of Gainesville; and her daughter, Angela Coles of Gainesville. Marie is survived by her daughter, Kelly Coles of Gainesville; her granddaughter, Angela Saffaie, and grandson, Pedrum Saffaie, both of Gainesville; and her sister, Judy Bennett of Cape Coral, FL.
Marie was a devoted and selfless LPN for 43 years, serving in various hospitals and nursing homes throughout Gainesville. To her, nursing was a true calling, not just a career. Her sense of humor, vibrant spirit, deep compassion, and love for all living things will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
