He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma C. Jackson and Arthur Phillips, Sr., and siblings, Vanessa Strawder and Alvin L. Phillips.

Those left to cherish his treasured memories; his wife, Dorothy Miller Daniels; children, Shaneika Smith, Robert Smith, John Sloan, Dominique Jackson, Brandon Jackson, William Jackson; stepmother, Gloria Jackson; siblings, Arthur Phillips, Jr. (Beverly), Nathaniel Daniels, Jennifer Daniels and Renee Daniels; sisters and brother-in-laws, Delores Head, Shirley McKnight, Annette Thomas, Lovanne Smoak, and Roosevelt Walker; six grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
