Paula Marshall was born on July 13, 1962, in Gainesville, Florida to her late parents, Joanna and Percy Marshall. She was raised with strong values of compassion, service, and love that would shape the way she lived her life.
Paula attended BHS, where she proudly played in the school band. From an early age, she dreamed of joining the Peace Corps and feeding the hungry. That dream blossomed into a lifelong passion for serving others. She built a career centered around helping people, something she truly enjoyed and took pride in.
If you knew Paula, you know she had a good heart and was a true friend. She loved out loud-unapologetically and wholeheartedly. She later created her own business to provide for her family, showing her strength, determination, and dedication as a provider. Paula also devoted countless hours to her church whenever her health allowed, reflecting her deep faith and commitment to her community.
Above all, Paula was an incredible woman and a phenomenal mother. Her love, strength, and presence will forever live on in those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Percy Marshall, Jr., LeRoy Marshall, Tyrone Marshall, Albert Marshall, and Mary Marshall-Carter.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children, Maliea Farley, Sharika Robinson (Kianna), and Adrene Formen; grandchildren, Dermaryon Wade, Brandon Douglas, Jr., Tylaha Leggett/Robinson, and Jerliea Graham. She is also survived by her siblings, Carletta Jones, Marion Scott, Rosa Marshall, Jeralene Marshall, Orion Marshall (Rachel), Janet Marshall, James Marshall, and John Marshall (Felicia); and her brother-in-law, Thomas Carter. Paula also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
