Pauline Smith Caldwell was born September 24th, 1933, to Mamie Gaskin and Henry Jordan Smith in Alma, Georgia. She will always be remembered first as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a prayer warrior, loving wife, mother, and sister.
Pauline married Leonard Franklin Caldwell on April 8th, 1953. Their life together was as beautiful as it was rewarding. They were inseparable. If we ever needed and example of what God meant with marriage, it was Pauline and Leonard. Their love and devotion to each other, as well as that of their children, Henry Franklin Caldwell, Elizabeth Ann Snowberger, and Polly Jo Caldwell, was God centered, and love focused.
Pauline worked for Keystone Heights High school in the cafeteria for twenty years from 1973 until 1993. Pauline loved fishing, traveling, and going to Gospel sings. She was the “president” of the Professional Crab-Eaters Association.
Pauline was preceded in death by her son Henry, and her husband Leonard. She leaves behind her daughters, Ann and Polly, her grandchildren Sarah and grandson-in-law Rick, and Matthew and granddaughter-in -law Sarah, her great-grandchildren R.C., Alton, Simon, and Henry, and her friends and loved ones too many to name.
Pauline went home to her Savior on September 29th, 2025, at the age of 92.
