Presiding Co-Pastor Boston Cobb Sr was born in Gainesville, Florida on April 12, 1939, to the late Stella Mae Sturkes and Eddie Cobb. He was raised by his cousin, the late “Mama Janie” Jackson. He stopped attending school at a young age to help take care of his family. He met the late Lillie Mae Howard at the age of 18. They fell in love and married at the age of 19 on January 28th, 1959, and they spent 63 years in love. To this union five children were born. He became Co-Pastor of the Tabernacle of the Enlightened Church of God, Inc in Gainesville, Florida in December 1988. He later became a presiding Co-Pastor. He dedicated his life to God and his family. He went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2022, 8 ½ months after his beloved wife. He was preceded in death by: his wife of 63 years, Lillie Mae Howard Cobb; daughters, Colantha L. Green and Tina L. Cobb, Siblings: Johnny Sturkes and Doris Webb. Co-Pastor Cobb was survived by: His Children: Boston Cobb Jr, Lori Ann (Angus) Bradshaw, and Earnest (Mary) Cobb Sr; Grandchildren: Lawrence Green Jr, Jarvis Bryson Sr, Elecia Green, Earnest (Alexandria) Cobb Jr, Antwan Cobb, Lorenzo Green, Asia Cobb, Mikayla Cobb, Eyden Boston Cobb, Ebony White, Bryant Williams, Angus Bradshaw Jr, Tyrone Bradshaw, and Thaddeus Shinn; Great Grandchildren: Tujuan Leonard, Jar’Nae Bryson, Jarvis Bryson Jr, Cayden Cobb, Hernando Garvin Jr, Marquez Ross Jr, Makenzie Ross, and Emani Wimberly; Sibling: Betty Ford; Favorite Niece: Natalie (Calvin) Johnson; Nephews: Norman (Beth) Webb and Raymond Webb; Cousin: Lillie Sturkes; In-laws: Walter (Evelyn) Sr, Lugenia, Louis, Maxwell Jr, Alan (Janie), Gracie (Wilford), Luna (Bellglade), Ernestine, and Wally (Elaine); Children in love: Carolyn (Lewis), Jessie Mae, Bessie, and Meriel; God children: Catherine Terrell, Roscoe Johnson, Brian Gent, and Ricky Lester; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
