Randolph James was born on January 3, 1950 to the late Mr. Roland James and Mrs. Linda James. He passed away on March 13, 2025, at UF Shands in Gainesville, Florida.
Randolph attended Battery Park High School in Nesmith, South Carolina, at an early age he joined Kennedyville UM Church Nesmith, South Carolina. Randolph later moved to Gainesville where he met and married the love of his life Linda D. James.
Randolph loved working on cars, having fun with family, taking trips to South Carolina. He and Linda loved to fish and cook.
Randolph was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise McCrea, Verlene Pendergrass, Ruth Scott, and Virginia James; two brothers, Roland James, Emerson McCrea; and step daughter, Akira Miller.
Those left to cherish his memories; his wife, Linda James of Gainesville, Florida; children, Christopher James of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jackie Grayson of Kingstree, South Carolina, Janice James of Kingstree, South Carolina, Peggy Hannah of Atlanta, Georgia, D’licia Davenport (Max) of Gainesville, Florida, Nikki Hannah of Atlanta, Georgia, Jermaine James of Kingstree, South Carolina, Jessica James of Kingstree, South Carolina, and Jared King; sisters, Linda Fulton of Kingstree, South Carolina, Geneva McCrea of Kingstree, South Carolina; brother, Roosevelt James (Juliann) of Lake City, South Carolina; sisters-in- law, Lou Ester James, Idella King, Shirley Walker (Ellis), Patricia Wright (Charles), Loretta Nelson all of Gainesville, Florida; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
