Rickey L. Williams was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Mattie Reed and Vance Williams on September 1, 1962. He graduated from Abberville High School in 1980 and then attended Santa Fe Junior College in Gainesville, Florida, later transferring to University of Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a disc jockey which lead to him being known as Big Rick with the Southwind DJs out of Hollywood, FL.
He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Kermit Reed, George (Sugar) Rochelle, and Theodus (Pudin) Rochelle.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his four sisters, Cheryl Bolen (Robert), Terri Foremon, Joyce Jones (Richard), and Chandra Brown; six brothers, Sheppard Campbell, Steve Rochelle, Rufus Rochelle, Gary Clark, Alphonso Rochelle, and Terry Reed (Hanna); special sisters-in-law, Ann Rochelle and Melvina Baker; bonus sister-in-love, Linda D Rochelle; special friend, Danita Danzy; and a host of others nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
