Ricky Delonzo Nixon was born on March 16, 1969 in Gainesville, FL to the late Flossie Mae Williams and Samuel Nixon Sr. He was raised by the late John Henry Williams. At an early age, Ricky accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Allen Chapel AME in High Springs, FL.
He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1989. For over 15 years, he worked in maintenance at Terrace Health and Rehab and Gainesville Health. Ricky enjoyed fishing, grilling, and playing softball.
Ricky was a loving soulmate, father, and grandfather (Pa Pa), brother, uncle, and friend. He always made you laugh.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his soulmate, Kim Washington; daughter, Vernice Nixon; two sons, James Nixon (Hannah) and Emannuel Nixon; grandchild, Gabrielle “Gabby” Jackson; brothers, Samuel Nixon (Lori), Paul Favors (Fonda); sisters, Betty Speights and Mary Dennard; one uncle, one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
