Robert Burnett Holland Sr., 75, of Lake Butler, known affectionately to his friends as Bob or Yankee Bob, passed away on December 26th, 2023, at home surrounded by family.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Madeleine’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sabastian George officiating. Burial/Interment will follow the Mass at Saint Madeline’s Memorial Garden. Reception to follow at High Springs Lion’s Club.
Robert Holland was born in Norristown, PA to Winfield S. Holland and Mary Carter Holland on April 28, 1948. He attended Plymouth Marsh High School and Montgomery County College. He worked as a manager of several large apartment complexes. Along with his wife, Bob became a house manager for people with disabilities. He started his own business as an electrician. He moved his family to Florida in 1989 and was an owner of several rental properties. He also drove truck for Liberty Trucking before his retirement. He was actively involved with the High Springs Lion’s Club holding several offices such as president, vice president, treasurer, and board member throughout his membership. He was an avid golfer.
Robert Holland is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Carter Holland, his father Winfield S. Holland, and his brother John Holland.
Robert Holland is survived by his wife Regina T. Holland, his children Robert Holland Jr. and Kathryn Timmons (Matthew)along with Victoria Evanusa. He has one grandson, Holland Green, and another grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his stepmother, Regina W. Holland, and his oldest brother Winfield S. Holland III (Elizabeth), nieces and nephews.
The reception will be held at the High Springs Lion’s Club.
