Ronald Eugene Rutledge was born on March 11, 1954, to the late Roosevelt Rutledge and Lola Bell Sessions in Hawthorne, Florida. Ronald Rutledge was a graduate of Hawthorne High School in 1972. After graduation, he joined the Marines in 1974, where he served 12 years.
He is proceeded in death by one daughter, Domonique Rutledge; one brother, Kenneth Daniels; and three sisters, Maxine, Frances, and Brenda Rutledge.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted companion, Andrea Span; children, Malik Rutledge, Makeil Rutledge (Savannah), Dondrick Rutledge (Desheba) Ronald Rutledge, Jr., and Angela Rutledge-Muqtasid (Mikal); eight grandchildren, Mazi, Makenzie, Brandon, Elana, Jasheyla, Deondre, Kelaiah, and Isaiah; two sisters, Stacy Thompkins and Symatha Rolston; six brothers, Lorenzo Rutledge (Jewell), Ralph Rutledge, Ricky Rutledge, Alton Rutledge, Darryle Sessions, and Jonell Sessions (Nia); one nephew raised as a brother, Everett Rutledge (Briana); three sisters-in-law, Brenda Daniels, Yvonne Span, and Sonya Clark (Nardo); one brother-in-law, Patrick Green; four aunts, Doris Floyd, Phyllis Jackson, Ozella Miller, and Linda Harper (James); three uncles, Willie Jr. Rutledge, Gary Miller (Deborah), and Raymond Scott (Mel); two aunts-in-love, Eva Mae Proctor and Persilla Gordon; one uncle-in-love, Roger Gordon (Laverne); four Godchildren, Antorria, Victoria, Deltrice, and Marcus; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
