Sharaine Martin

Sharaine Martin was a beautiful person with a beautiful smile, and she loved her family dearly.

She was born on September 23, 1979 to Jimmy L. Gilbert and the late Carolyn Dewitt-Gilbert in Schenectady, NY. Born and raised in the church, she attended Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C faithfully until moving to Florida, where she attended Williams Temple C.O.G.I.C in Gainesville, FL. After graduating from Eastside High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Kennith Martin Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing a loving husband, Kennith Martin, Jr., four children, Michelle Martin, Kennith Martin III, Kristian Martin and Makayla Martin, 5 sisters, Xavier Gilbert, Tanya Scott, Tammy Harriott, Lucille Gilbert and Twillette Gilbert, 3 brothers, Jeffrey Gilbert, Leon Gilbert and Dwayne Rock Nobles, a devoted mother-in-law, Judy Martin, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

If roses grow in heaven,

Lord please pick a bunch for me,

Place them in my Mother’s arms

and tell her they’re from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her,

and when she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek

and hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day,

but there’s an ache within my heart

that will never go away.
