Simmie Williams Obituary

Simmie Andrew Williams was born on January 16, 1937, in Louise, Florida to the late James L. Stewart and Lottie W. Ross. Simmie attended Philadelphia Baptist Church for many years. He retired from CSX Railroad. Simmie enjoyed singing, playing his harmonica(he made it sing), playing baseball as he had a mean curve ball and watching the WWE. Simmie leaves  behind to cherish his memories: His wife, Lula Williams: Children: Johnny B. Williams (Qwanda), Alfred L. Williams, Olivea Williams, James A.Williams (Lisa), Sharon Williams-Hill( Jeff), Dennis Williams, Delray Covington, Eric Gadson and Simmie A. Williams Jr.(Bradi); Five brothers: Eugene Ross, Kenneth Ross( Tawna), Keith Ross, Emmitt Alexander(Hattie) and LeAndris Harris( Barbara); Eight sisters: Edwina Ross, Glenda Ross, Edwina Ross, Betty Stewart- Fulwood( Allen), Maetta Wigington( Vinson), Janet Polite and April Rhodes; thirty-six grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren and one great-greatchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
