Stephanie Jamia Holmes was born January 17, 1982, to Cary Lumpkins and the late LaShaun Holmes Hayes. She was raised in a Christian home by her maternal grandparents, Merlene Holmes, and the late Rev. Alexander Holmes. She was baptized at an early age at St. Luke AME Church in Alachua, FL, and during her adult life transferred membership to Historic Mt. Zion AME in Jacksonville, FL.

One of her happiest moments was achieving her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State College on May 11, 2023. This was a personal goal Stephanie was extremely proud to finally achieve after years of hard work.
She cherished Ayden and Alexis, who were her pride and joy. She recently started a new hobby making arts and crafts with her new Cricut machine. Stephanie made many gifts for family and friends including clothing, mugs, tumblers, acrylic calendars, and an assortment of other items.
