Tamahri Said Hayes, born on April 7, 2007, in Gainesville, Florida, to Kenya Hayes and Curtis Frazier, departed this life on October 8, 2024, to rest in the loving arms of our Lord.
Tamahri was the third of four children, and he was born and raised in Gainesville. He was educated in the Alachua County School System. Tamahri found joy in spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing his PlayStation 5, working alongside his father and brother in lawn maintenance and enjoying the outdoors. He had a passion for helping and donating to the homeless and less fortunate. Tamahri’s village will always remember the warmth and affection he bestowed upon them. Tamahri was always telling his loved ones and friends that he loved them. His joyful presence willtruly be missed.
Tamahri is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary Hicks, and Harold Spruce; his beloved Nana, MiMi McClendon; and his maternal grandfather, Jerome "Pops" Williams.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories with his mother, Kenya Hayes; his father, Curtis Frazier (Alisa); his maternal grandmother, Leona McClendon-Williams; and his maternal grandfather, Ernest Tyrone Hayes, Sr. Tamahri is also survived by his siblings, Tahj Hopkins, T’unah Hopkins (Todd), and Tahlia Hayes. He will be passionately remembered by his maternal aunts and uncles: Chante Harris, Chylanda Edwards-James (Benny), Tondalaya Hayes (Darrell), Arkeviah Branton, Ernest T. Hayes, Jr., and AJ Hayes, as well as his paternal aunts and uncles: Melony Frazier, Angela Frazier, Mary Frazier-Dixon, Veronica Bailey, and Galvin Frazier. Additionally, his godparents, DeAnne and Jeff Flournoy, special aunts Mia Holland and Jessica Simmons, and a host of cousins, adopted aunts, and dear friends will forever cherish Tamahri's memory close to their hearts.
Tamahri’s vibrant spirit and the love that he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
