Troy Sebastian Carter

Troy S. Carter, Sr., was bon on October 23, 1974 to the union of Amos & Joanne Carter. He was educated in the Alachua County School System at Loften High School. He was a truck driver in Orlando, FL. On Thursday, February 9, 2023, Troy Carter Sr., went home to rest peacefully with the Lord. 

Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, we’ll miss you until we meet again.

Carter Jr., of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Nicole Carter of Tampa, FL; stepdaughters, Ja’Quisha Foster, Ke’Mari McCray, Tyre’a  Jenkins of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Dailyn Crite and Damir Crite; mother, Joann Carter; father and stepmother, Amos & Tracey Carter; sisters, Carol (Leonard) Griffin and Kayla Williams of Gainesville, FL; honorary sisters, Candice Ross and Patrice Henderson of Gainesville, FL; brother, Carlos & Shonda Bartee of Fort, White, FL brother-in-law, Robert West; father and mother-in-law, Ernes & Alvara Welch; grandmother who preceded him in death, Mae Liza Carter; grandmother in-law, Florine Welch; special aunts that help raised him, Bonnie & Belvaline Henderson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
