I met Bernard awhile back when he was looking for a Funeral Home to buy and I became his Realtor. When my Son suddenly passed away, I knew I could count on his Family to take care of my arrangements. We were so impressed with Mr. Phillips humbled spirit and soft spoken caring voice. The trust ,professionalism, expertise, and navigating our family at a vulnerable time. All questions were addressed and answered, calls and texts as well.

On April 3 2023 my son Brandon Dennis passed away in Ocala Florida..Over a year ago my oldest son had told me to follow Phillips and Sons because of their work.My son has also been called to be a funeral director (in case your wondering why I was asked to follow) I did and has watched faithfully..fast forward my son passes and it was Phillips and Sons who was called to prepare my baby for his final resting place and getting him back to Indiana..Words can’t explain how much I appreciate and wanted to thank Phillips and Sons for all they have done to help in the process ..Thank You Thank You my God continue to bless you all!

The family of Elder Dewey Taylor, Jr. cannot express enough how grateful we are to the entire team of Phillip & Sons for everything they did for us. We were able to celebrate the life and legacy of our dad in a beautiful way. Bernard and his team took us through the entire planning and execution of this process effortlessly. Because of my work experience, I am a person of detail and very particular about how things are presented. I can honestly tell you, Phillip & Sons went above and beyond patiently answering every question, implementing every request, and their professionalism is absolutely outstanding. When you're grieving the loss of your loved one, in this case my beloved dad, you can't even think straight sometimes. Where do I begin; I had never even heard of Phillips and Sons before. One of my older siblings suggested that we use their services for our mothers home going celebration. When I say I was stunned at how amazing her service was. The Directors and staff where all a joy to work with; they made sure that every detail was perfect for her. The staff even joined us in the traditional fish fry on the Friday before my mothers service. They were so professional, their attitudes were great. Nothing we asked of them went unnoticed there were even some things within the service that we had no recollection of; I can speak on behalf of my family and say that the job was well sought out and executioned phenomenally. Phillip & Sons Funeral Home provided phenomenal, five-star service to our family. The first time my dad and I spoke with Bernard concerning my uncle’s funeral I was convinced that this was the funeral home that could best provide for our family’s needs. And to say the least they did not let us down; from the professional staff to the excellent obituary that Alfred provided, to the attention to detail. On the day of the funeral, the staff was amazing, they even went above and beyond the call of duty and helped the family to navigate through an unforeseen situation. Wow! Where do I start, the service was amazing, but to see the behind the scenes work, effort, and passion that went into making this day one that can peacefully be remembered, it blew me away! I’m so grateful to have chosen to work with Phillip & Sons, the thought that went into everything, the additional remembrance calendars and the blanket, was the icing on the cake! I truly feel our Dads is at peace and proud of all of us, he definitely felt the love. As much as I didn’t want to ever lose my mom- when you lose someone there are certain arrangements that have to be done. Phillip & Wiley/Phillip &Sons were amazing. I’ve never done this before and when I walked in to that funeral home, behind my false-brave face I felt intimidated, and lost. But the people at Phillip and Wiley walked alongside me for every step of the way and treated mom with the utmost care. The loss of a loved one is heartbreaking, chaotic and emotionally draining and never easy. I expected to be treated as a transaction and taken advantage of during our time of grief. I was reluctant to utilize a different funeral home, especially a newer funeral home. I'm glad we did! On Christmas night 2020 after the death of our daughter, I had the opportunity of speaking with Mr. Bernard Phillip about how to begin the heartbreaking funeral planning process. The compassion and thoroughness the staff at Phillip & Wiley Mortuary showed was EXCEPTIONAL. They were truly a blessing to me while making the arrangements. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the big and small details the staff provided. We cannot say THANK YOU enough for the beautiful service.

They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. This was my first time losing a loved one close to me and they made this process worry free and stress free. Everything was smooth. The beginning of Sept. 2019, I called Phillip and Wiley to pick up my Godson and handle the services. I never expected anything in return - this is what they do. Well, I received a thank you and sympathy card the following week. I said to my husband, "that was nice". Well today is our Godson's birthday... upon checking my mailbox, I pull out a card that recognizes our baby's birthday and acknowledges that his birthday is special. This REALLY is "Service Beyond Expectation"! Thanks Phillip and Wiley Mortuary! We couldn't do it without you!

I worked with Bernard and Jane at Phillips & Wiley throughout the whole mortuary planning process. They made a confusing and sad time in my life so much easier. I made a mess of things, and Philip & Wiley Mortuary came right in and took the weight off my shoulders! Once my daddy was in the care of Philip &Wiley's I called or texted every day! His passing was unexpected and I acted as if he was in the hospital.. I asked how he was doing , was he ok? And each time they ensured me that he was well taken care of.. I even called to ask what size shoe he wore, and of course they took the time to find out! My family was unable to make it Phillip & Wiley Mortuary, Mr. Phillip was able to use Digital viewing for our first family viewing! I wasn't as ready as my other family members but, He gave me the time I needed to process the situation. We have not made it to the service part yet, but I know that this staff will help us celebrate My Daddy well... I will gladly say that this is the best Mortuary in FLORIDA!!! My sister passed away suddenly in early October. She did not have insurance . We called around attempting to plan a funeral and quickly found out we were looking at around $10,000 easily, for a simple funeral. We happened upon Phillip and Wiley Mortuary of Melrose and were instantly relieved! They are very, very reasonably priced. They were extremely professional and went way above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of every step of the way! Including this morning when they contacted me to let me know my sister’s headstone was in, which I had totally forgotten to even inquire about! I highly recommend them to everyone! Please consider these guys should you unfortunately find yourself in need of services.
